Tonight - WYCE Jammie Awards



The highly anticipated WYCE Jammie Awards are set to take place this evening at The Intersection in Grand Rapids, celebrating the remarkable talent and creativity within the Michigan music scene. This annual event, hosted by our partners at WYCE, honors the best in Michigan music with awards and performances across various genres. Music starts at 6pm on all three stages. We will be on hand with Support Michigan Music t-shirts and hoodies. Look for us near our friends at Local Spins!


Tuesday - Industry Mixer - Lansing

Looking ahead to Tuesday, join the MMA for an Industry Mixer from 6-7pm at Stage One in Lansing. Guests are invited to come learn about membership in the Michigan Music Alliance from 6-7 and stick around for the Good Neighbor Concert Series featuring Tania Watt, Sammie Hershock and Nicholas James Thomasma. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided by Tania Watt Creative. There is no cost to attend the mixer and admission to the concert is also free thanks to generous support from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing.

Currently underway is the Detroit Music Census, a significant initiative aimed at gathering data on the Detroit music ecosystem. WE NEED YOUR INPUT! This comprehensive survey seeks to understand the demographics, needs, and challenges faced by musicians and music industry professionals within 75 miles of the Detroit area. By participating in the census, individuals can contribute valuable information that will help shape future policies, funding opportunities, and support systems for artists in the region.


Save the Date - Music Econ Summit - April 11, 2026



Hosted at the new Bamboo | Start Garden co-working space in the former UICA building in downtown Grand Rapids, the Music Econ Summit returns to it's original format this year as a one-day event focused on the music business. On April 11th we will welcome attendees from across the state for a full day of workshops, breakout sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, all centered on the business side of the music industry.


The 2026 MES will feature approximately 25-35 industry professionals from the Michigan music community. Topics will include basic info on running a music career as a business including Music Release Strategies, Content Creation and more. We're also adding a new feature this year - Mentor Sessions. Stay tuned for more info and become a member today for discounts and early registration to all of our events.
