PANELISTS:

MICHELLE HANKS Michelle is a self proclaimed "tax geek." After making a living as a performing musician and working in a number of administrative and bookkeeping positions in Texas, With an extensive background in the business world as a CFO and CPA, she made the decision to return to her true love and passion: helping small businesses and individuals. Michelle co-owns Seven Steps Up Live Music & Event Venue with her husband and can be often be found behind the mixing board providing sound for many of the concerts in the venue. She is also is President of a non-profit organization Courtyard Concerts / Summer Sessions Waterfront Concert Series she co-founded with her husband.

STEPHANIE BELCHER With an incredible knack for numbers and a gift for communication, Steph Belcher is one of Michigan's most sought-after business managers. Ms. Belcher became fluent in the language of financial management after spending nearly two decades working in artist management, booking, promotions, and marketing. She’s also served as a financial educator, marketing and economics entrepreneur, and small business tax preparer. She also teaches Self-Employment Skills and leads the Music Industry Studies Club at DIME Detroit, where she is the MIS Area Coordinator. She prepares tax returns at the Livonia CPA firm Cole, Newman, and Duran, CPA's and is the treasurer of the Women's Council for Art - Michigan.
